Catalog stubs are sandbox and compute providers Zap tracks but has not yet verified with a first-party adapter. A stub claims nothing beyond the contract minimum:
  • acquire() always throws CATALOG_STUB — a stub never pretends to run anything.
  • zap doctor --json lists each stub with tier: "catalog", verified: false, its kind, and a docsUrl remediation link.
  • Every manifest carries a kind: sandbox, gpu, inference, computer-use, or document.
Current stubs include: To use a stubbed provider today, run it behind the self-host adapter or pick a first-party provider with the same isolation class.
